Every guide follows the conservation studio from design to safety

Each use case is traced through all five stages of the vessel's life, then broken down part by part, with a worked example and the decisions that stay with the accredited conservator, head of conservation, curator, or client.

AI in the art conservation & restoration industry: common questions

How is AI used in art conservation and restoration?

AI in conservation reads condition photographs, technical images, spectra, and treatment records to map damage, compare states, and surface precedents. It supports examination, treatment planning, documentation, materials management, and studio safety, while accredited conservators keep every decision about the object.

Where should a conservation studio start with AI?

Start with one task that already produces data and costs bench time, such as condition reporting, treatment report drafting, imaging comparison, or quoting. Prove it on one specialism, then extend it across the studio.

Does AI replace the conservator?

No. AI sees more images and records than a conservator has time to review, and drafts the damage map, report, or estimate. Qualified conservators still choose and carry out every treatment, and curators or clients approve anything that changes the object.

Studio owners, heads of conservation, and collections care consultants bring me the problem that keeps costing them bench hours, report backlogs, or treatment risk. We map it to one system you can ship.
